Heppenheimer (1947) is a prolific and respected writer on the subjects of planetary science, aerospace engineering, and celestial mechanics. <BR><BR>Signed: "<I>Scott Carpenter</B></I>" (Malcolm Scott Carpenter, May 1, 1925) who was selected in 1959 to participate in Project Mercury. "<I>Richard Gordon Apollo XII</B></I>" (Richard Francis Gordon Jr. October 5, 1929) who commanded Apollo 12 in 1969, the second manned mission to land on the Moon. "<I>Alan Bean Apollo 12</B></I>" (Alan LaVern Bean, March 15, 1932) who was the fourth man to walk on the Moon when he piloted Apollo 12 in 1969.
