Fountain pen signatures of Basie and 17 members of his band on a 7 x 10.5 off-white sheet of Hotel Canterbury stationery, affixed to an 11 x 14 scrapbook page bearing clipped magazine photos of the musicians. Signers include: Count Basie, Al Killian, Harry ‘Sweets’ Edison, Buddy Tate, Dan Minor, Freddie Green, Dicky Wells, Buck Clayton, Lester Young, Jack Washington, Jo Jones, Helen Humes, Walter Page, Lee Young, Earle Warren, Ed Lewis, Vic Dickenson, and three members of the Hi Hatters, including Clarence ‘Frenchie’ Landry. Many have also added their instrument beside their name. In very good condition, with three horizontal folds slightly affecting a few signatures, toning to the borders, light scattered soiling, and a couple brushes to ink.
