Atlantic Watershed Central Highlands Zone, Middle Period, Ca 400 to 850 AD. Buff clay, burnished and red painted ritual vessel raised up on three hollow legs, each containing a rattling ball; each formed as a zoomorphioc monkey, his hands held to face. The vessel has remains of red painted vertical lines. 4” H x 6” D, multiple rim repairs; excellent surface.
