Designed by Adolph Katz for Coro and becoming quite famous when they trademarked this unique type of brooch called the Coro Duette, patented in 1931. Actually two separate clips, that can be worn individually or as one brooch, when used with the duette piece. With a heavy rhodium plating, each bird's body is encrusted with sparkling clear pave set rhinestones, while it's feathers, beak and the flower branch it rests on are beautifully enamelled in red, yellow and green. Each flower has a clear rhinestone as it's center. Marked Coro Duette and PAT. NO 1798867, the patent number for the actual duette mechanism. Measuring 3 1/2 inches in length and 2 inches wide, it is in wonderful vintage condition, with all rhinestones present and clear and minimal age appropriate wear to the enamel. With its colorful enamel work, sparkling rhinestones and grand size, it will hardly go unnoticed. This is a mainstay for any collection. </td></tr><tr> <td> </td></tr><tr> <td>Reference #: GO_007BRCH</td></tr><tr><td>Condition:vintage, very good original condition</td></tr><tr><td>Year:circa 1930's</td></tr><tr><td>Country:usa</td></tr><tr><td>Maker:Coro</td></tr><tr><td>Height:3.5</td></tr><tr><td>Width:2</td></tr><tr><td>Title:Coro Duette Signed Bookpiece Enamel and</td></tr><tr><td>Style:Duette</td></tr><tr><td>Materials:Silvertone metal, Enamel, Rhinestones</td></tr><tr><td>Location:Lake Tahoe, California</td></tr></table>
