<B><I>Cornell</B></I></B></I> <B>Cigar Label from Sig. C. Mayer & Co., Inc.</B></I> A lithographed 4.25" x 4.25" outer label with the portrait of Alonzo B. Cornell, son of Cornell University founder Ezra Cornell and governor of New York from 1880 to 1882. Interestingly, he was succeeded in his gubernatorial office by future-president Grover Cleveland. The printing at the lower margin of the label states "Title & Design Owned By Sig. C. Mayer & Co., Inc."
