C., October 27, 1939, to Mr. Newbold Noyes, editor of <I>The Evening Star,</B></I> Washington, D. C. The letter reads in part: “I want to thank you for your letter of October 25, sending me an advance copy of <I>The Star's</B></I> interesting War Map Supplement.” In two years Mr. Hull would find that the war supplement maps would radically change as the United States was drawn into WWII.
