Copy of a Revolutionary War Era Attributed Bass Drum with the Insignia of the Independent Company of Newburyport

Twenty-five inches in height and across. It is primarily green with red trim, brass tacks, white cord, and a panel with thirteen hands extending from clouds and holding a chain around a pine tree. The Colors of the Independent Company of Newburyport from Massachusetts have the same symbol on a blue canton and a field of green but generally with hands clad in steel plate gloves instead of brown leather. Very good as repainted to duplicate an original painted drum. There is only some minor wear, stains, and a few absent tacks. Shoulder straps are not included.
