<B>COPPER - A MASSIVE CRYSTAL GROUP</B></I><BR> <I>Pewabic Lode, Quincy Mine, Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan</B></I><BR>A massive, fine, old specimen featuring both dodecahedral & tetrahexahedral crystal forms. The crystals composing this ample specimen range in size up to 1 ¼ inches in length, some are very sharp. There is a minor amount of the original matrix in deep recesses of the piece. Excellent 'old leather' patina. From the Richard Hauck Collection of New Jersey. There is a note on the Hauck label - 'Neal Yedlin Label, Ex Wesleyan University.' Presumably this indicates that it was acquired from the Wesleyan University Collection by renowned dealer Neal Yedlin before acquisition by Hauck. Ex Hauck Collection.
