The factory letter states it is a 45 caliber, has a 5 1/2 inch barrel, is blue, the stocks are not listed and that it was shipped to the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Co. of Bisbee, Arizona on November 15th, 1901. With a handwritten note stating that this pistol was purchased from Clarence Cranmer (friend of Thomas Eakins who is portrayed as the timekeeper in the painting "Between Rounds"), a handwritten note that states there is a photo of Thomas Eakins with the pistol, a copy of a photo that may be the one mentioned in the note and the consignor's research on Thomas Eakins.
