Champaran, Madan Simha Dev (14 Century CE), Copper Falus, Obv: Nagari legend "Shri champa/ karane" in two lines, Rev: Nagari legend "Govind cha / rana prana / va madan" in three lines, 3.9g, 17.16mm, (MNI # 205-6), about very fine, Very Rare.
Note: Champaran, a medieval kingdom once belonging to the Mithila region, is now divided into East Champaran and West Champaran districts in Bihar. This region holds religious importance as the birthplace of Saint Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya, the reformer and founder of the Vallabh sect, also known as Pushtimarg. Additionally, there are 2 Baithakjis dedicated to Lord Vallabhacharya Chaurasi Baithak in this area.
