Note: It is one of the earliest indigenous examples where one finds a joint issue in the name of both the King and the Queen. Naganikawas the first Queen from the Indian sub-continent to have struck coins in her name, jointly with her husband Satakarni. Famous for the dedicatory inscription in the Satavahana family temple at Naneghat, she is known to have performed several sacrifices, including two Ashwamedha Mahayajnas.
