Continental percussion target/dueling pistol. .36 caliber single-shot, 9-1/2” octagon barrel, half-stocked in fruitwood with fluted grip, set trigger, rifled bore, engraved lock and mounts. Signed in gold on barrel “L. Lindemer in Durkheim”. The pistol measures approximately 16 inches overall, and is of medium to slightly-heavy weight, measuring nearly 7/8 inches across the flats of the octagon muzzle. The barrel shows a Damascus pattern with three bands at breech; platinum, silver, and gold. The pistol is finished in satin grey, and metal surfaces are in very good plus to near fine condition, showing just slight areas of natural aging and minor darkening. The action is crisp, the interior excellent. There is a gold-inlayed “1” on the top of the tang indicating one of a pair. There is a key-adjustable rear sight. The stocks are near fine with just some slight handling marks. This fine pistol is exceptional quality and shows only minor use, slight handling, and normal age. Est.: $900 - $1800.
