When Constantinople was founded in 330 A.D., a series of commemorative silver coins were issued celebrated both Rome and the new capital in the East. This somewhat crude coin is a later revival of the type that was probably issued under Justinian the Great. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
