Constantin Von Neurath Autograph Letter Signed. Signed: C. Von Neurath, three pages, 8" x 13", np, October 9, 1945. Written to a Major Kelly, this long handwritten letter details quite a few facts about the former German diplomat and Foreign Minister. He was found guilty of war crimes at the Nuremberg trials and sentenced to fifteen years in prison, where he eventually died while serving out this sentence. The letter reads in part, "…I went to high school in Stuttgart and afterwards I studied law. After the examinations I worked for the diplomatic service of the Third Reich and was part of the time at the Foreign Ministry at Berlin, then at London, Copenhagen, Istanbul, Rome and back at London until I was appointed Foreign Minister in 1932 through 1938…". Many other facts are revealed in this biographical letter! Written in pencil on three large pages, this is in fine condition; overall yellowing has occurred and paper has begun to turn brittle at the edges and corners; usual folds are present.
