Connecticut Courant. The first New England paper to be firmly established outside of Boston. Published in New Haven, founded by James Parker in 1755, whose business associate was Ben Franklin. Two issues, Oct. 23, 1793 and Feb. 27, 1794. With four issues printed in Hartford. Mar. 16, 1784, Feb. 12, 1787, July 3, 1797, and Dec. 25, 1786, the last two with two 3 x 6" articles lacking. National and foreign news. Various defects including foxing and edge wear. Fair.
