Produced from 1866 to the late 1880s with a total production of approximately 8,000. These pistols feature a unique pivoting breechblock. The top of the barrel is marked "CONNECTICUT ARMS & MANFG CO NAUBUC CONN." and the top of the breechblock is marked "PATENTED OCT. 25. 1864" and the serial number is marked on the frame under the grip, and stamped on the inside of the left grip panel. Brass blade front sight and a notch in the breechblock release button serves as the rear sight. Casehardened frame, hammer, breechblock and trigger, nickel barrel and fitted with two piece checkered brown hard rubber grips. The pistol is complete with an original two piece box with a bullet block with six original 41 rimfire cartridges and a custom made wooden box to hold the cardboard box.

Condition: Fair. The barrel retains 95% plus original nickel finish with some minor flaking on the muzzle and some wear on the breech end, with some minor scratches and dings. The breech block and frame have silvered out with some areas of smooth brown on the right side of the frame and breech block. The hammer retains 90% original case colors. The grips are also very fine with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings remain sharp. Mechanically excellent. The box is poor with heavy wear, separated corners on the lid and the sides separated from the bottom. All pieces are there and it could be repaired.
