Wooden ruler premium from Congressman Jack Kemp of
Hamburg, New York. This ruler is a third short to represent how
he wanted to cut taxes (not really? so it can fit in a standard
envelope).
<p>Measures 8 x 1-1/4 inches. Good used condition.
<p> Jack French Kemp, Jr (born 7/13/1935) was
raised in Los Angeles and is a graduate of Occidental College.
He was a professional football player, 1957-70 playing with the
NY Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers before joining the AFL where
he was the independent league?s best quarterback. He lead the
Chargers to two Western Division championships and the Buffalo
Bills to 3 straight Eastern Division titles and two AFL
championships.

In 1971 he was elected to United States House of
Representatives and served until 1989. His proudest
accomplishment in Congress the Kemp-Roth tax cuts. He was
and remains a passionate advocate for responsible taxation and
prudent federal spending.

Kemp ran for the Republican presidential nomination in
1988. He was secretary of Housing and Urban Development in
the first Bush administration and instituted inner city Enterprise
Zones. He was his party?s candidate for vice president in 1996.
