Confederate bayonet with associated Civil War period scabbard and crude leather hanger of the period possibly made by “Boyle & Gamble”. The bayonet measures 24 ½” overall with 19 5/8” blade. The blade shows light to heavy scattered pittingand erosion and is poorly forged with crudely cast Confederate hilt missing its spring. The scabbard is old and of the period with a handmade Confederate style simple stitched frog or hanger. William A. Gary collection consigned by hisestate. Est.: $900-$1800
