This is a coat-sized Mississippi button made by Hyde and Goodrich of New Orleans for use by the Confederacy. The button has a push to the face but details are still legible. The back is missing the shank but the backmark is clear. This is a rare button in any condition. Listed in Albert's Button Book as MP4 with an RV of 20. Values range from $450-550.
