The entire piece is framed to an overall size of 7.75" X 9.75". A brass nameplate underneath the image reads GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE / CSA 1807-1870. The image is the work of prolific Civil War photographer Mathew Brady. It is from E & H. T. Anthony from the Brady negatives.
