<B>Confederate General Johnson Kelly Duncan Autograph Letter Signed.</B></I> "<I>J.K. Duncan</B></I>". One page, 8" x 10", Forts Jackson and St. Phillips New Orleans , Louisiana, March 30, 1862, to Major General Mansfield Lovell. The letter reads: "<I>General, Herewith enclosed, I have the honor to enclose a special requisition for ordnance and ordnance stores, which I consider absolutely necessary for the successful defence sic of this place against any attack. Please do not fail to increase my batteries according thereto, with larger and heavier guns, as far as possibly lies in your power.</B></I>: Duncan died in December of this same year from fever at Knoxville, Tennessee. Sanders lists only a clipped signature for Duncan.
