March 4, 1865. Flag was originally a 2nd National flag, known as the Stainless Banner. Restored by James Richard Alexander III in 1991. Confederate Battle Flag on white field with red, vertical bar on the right edge of flag. Blue salter is made from a woman's denim work dress. White field is made of polished cotton and red stripe is made of linen. Has 2 hand-embroidered grommets. Attibuted to have been the battle flag of the 33rd Texas Calvary and carried by the unit during the 2nd Battle of Laredo in 1864. Flag measures 17" wide and 34" long.
