Featured in this lot is this Confederate Cadet uniform display case circa 1862. The uniform features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sack and fabric construction with brass buttons with the enigmatic; this uniform was made towards the end of the war and is sized in small from Alabama. The uniform is marked on the inside of the collar as follows: Culp - 1862. The tunic was to be of cadet gray, with two rows of yellow-metal (brass or gold) buttons, 'solid' cuff and collar facings in sky-blue, and lined with a lighter gray fabric. The coat was of the same pattern specified as regulation for the field and company officers, as well as for the artillery and cavalry enlisted men. The condition of this Confederate Cadet uniform display is well preserved inside of a display case with a well preserved overall demeanor with two buttons seen detached from the uniform. The measurements of this case is 31 1/8" x 21 1/4" x 2 1/4". The collective weight of this display case is 12lb 12oz.
