<B>Confederate $1000 Bond,</B></I> 14" x 16.75" overall, Richmond, Virginia, October 16, 1862, affixed with 29 $40 interest coupons remaining of an original 30. The coupons were redeemable on January 1st and July 1st for fourteen years commencing in 1865. By the time the second coupon matured, the Confederacy was deceased. This bond carries a vignette of "Commerce" and was printed by Hoyer & Ludwig of Richmond. Light browning, uneven edges, some crinkling.
