Gold Hill, Yellow Jacket Silver Mining Co., Nov., 1883, signed by Eckley, RN-G1. Notes on the mines- "Yellow Jacket" - Located 1/10 mile north of Gold Hill, between the Consolidated Imperial & Kentucky Mines. Owned 957', claim staked in 1859, first worked early 1860's & Controlled by Sharon, changed hands in mid. 1870's to the "Bank Crowd". Total production $17,530,000.00. "Hale & Norcross"- Staked in 1859, owned 400' of ground. Located between Savage & Chollar Mines. Original controlled by William Sharon, and later by the "Bank Crowd". Total yield $10,146,000.00. "Exchequer"- Located north of Gold Hill, between the Bullion & Alpha Mines. Surface exploration started in 1860's, by Minerva Min. Co. Little work was done until 1870 & no underground until mid 1870's. No activity after mid 1890's. "Chollar Potosi"- Located in 1860, lies between Hale & Norcross & Bullion, in Southeast V.C. They owned 400' of the Chollar Claim. The 1860 lawsuit against the Potosi, carried on for 4 years, and ended up with the two companies merging in 1865.
