Fair, the Gothic style elements have mild pitting overall, a few areas of moderate pitting and some areas of discoloration. The 2-piece barbute is joined horizontally with a leather strap covering the outside of the joint. The breast and back plates have moderate pitting overall with some areas of heavier pitting. The areas around the rivets on the breast and back plates appear to have been ground some time ago. The coulet has a moderate crack in the center of the top lame along with two holes for rivets. The helm has some minor pitting and discoloration with a weld repair on the inside left and a small weld above the eyes on the inside. The cod piece has a moderate crack/breakthrough with a brazed repair. The leather straps are from several time periods with some stretching and cracking with age. The sword handguard is loose. The shield is good with scattered surface oxidation, some minor pitting, and the leather straps are dry and cracking. An interesting piece for any collection!
