Composer Bruno Walter Typed Letter Signed “Bruno Walter”. One page, 8.5” x 11”, May 30, 1940, in ink, to Mrs. Margaret Wynne Paris, Philadelphia. In this letter Walter responds to a hospital-bound women regarding the name of the English publisher of one of his books. It reads in part: “But as a result of all the happenings in Europe I have neither a German nor English copy of my book and not even my correspondence in which I could find the name of the edition.” Bruno Walter (1876-1962) was a German-born composer and conductor who fled Germany upon Hitler's rise to power. The letter displays the usual fold creases, else it is in fine condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
