A black and white Beatles promotional photograph that has been autographed on the front by the group in dark blue ballpoint pen.
Each member of the group has signed above their respective image.
The autographs come with a letter of provenance from the original recipient that reads:
"I received this autographed Beatles photograph for my 14th birthday in August of 1965. It was a gift from my father, who gave my brother and I tickets to the Beatles concert at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. It was a wonderful birthday gift and my father came with us to the concert. The girls screaming drowned out most of the music, but you could feel the electricity in the air and it was amazing. It was a perfect gift from a wonderful dad and I will always remember it. Born in Canada we had lived in England from 1953-1964. We returned to Toronto and I was a huge Beatles fan, so it was great to see them live and in concert. The photograph has been stored away in an envelope since then and shown to friends over the years"
The Beatles performed only twice in Canada in 1965, both concerts took place in Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto on August 17th.
Each performance was watched by 18,000 people and lasted around 27 minutes. The group flew into Toronto from New York on the morning of the concerts.
The photograph measures 8½" x 6½" inches. It has some slight skipping and light areas on Paul's autograph, some slightly light areas on John's autograph and also a crack to the paper which has run slightly into the 'J' of John.
Otherwise in fine condition.
