Rare four gun and three knife commemorative set with display cases and documents, manufactured circa 1978. Only 226 of these sets were produced, most of which have been broken up and sold individually. Includes 1) Jonathon Browning Mountain Rifle .50 cal NVSN. 2) Browning B-92 .44 Mag SN: 1878B-0432. 3) Browning Superposed Continental Grade V O/U .30-06 double rifle with additional 20 ga barrels SN: 1878C-432. 4) Browning Hi-Power 9mm SN: 1878D-0432 5) Three knife set, each numbered "0432" on largest blade of each knife. 1) Mountain rifle features 30" octagon barrel with what appears to be a hard chrome lined bore, dual barrel tenons and wedges, adjustable single set trigger, crescent buttplate, right hand percussion lock with engraved silver colored bust of Jonathan Browning, bolster in the image of a ram's horn, blade front and buckhorn rear sights, oval pewter finished plaque inlaid into the right side buttstock inscribed "BROWNING/1878-1978/CENTENNIAL", half length stock with ramrod located below barrel. Forend cap, nipple, barrel wedges and wedge escutcheons are bright silver; appear to be stainless steel. Other steel parts are browned. Bore is in excellent condition. Stock is excellent, with presentation grade walnut showing complex figure and vertical fiddle throughout. Metal retains 99% even smooth matte finish with a couple of visible rub marks on top of barrel, some bare metal showing in top tang screw slot, and tiny areas of patina at tips of buckhorn rear sight. Ramrod is in excellent condition. Includes locking wood case, fitted in the French style with tan color cloth, brass latches, full length piano hinge, leather corner protectors and leather "BROWNING" label affixed with brass nails, leather carry handle with brass mounting hardware. Inside the case are a powder horn with leather sling, ramrod tips (jag, patch remover, ball remover), nipple wrench, spare nipple, case keys. Powder horn is inscribed "Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle/1878-1978/0432 of 1000". Condition is NRA Perfect - Like New ***Antique Firearm*** 2) Browning B-92 lever action rifle made in Japan, imported by Browning Arms Company, Morgan UT. Features blued finish, 20" barrel, blade front and buckhorn rear sights, saddle ring, curved steel buttplate, gold color accents at trigger and saddle ring, engraved receiver, smooth wood stock with straight wrist. Left side of receiver is inscribed "BROWNING/1878-1978/CENTENNIAL" in gold color fill, surrounded by a diamond shaped field of scrollwork, with receiver edges bordered in a zigzag pattern line engraving. Right side of receiver copies the pattern without the text inscription. Bore is excellent. Retains 99% finish. Stock is excellent condition. Condition is NRA Perfect - Like New ***C&R Firearm*** 3) Browning Superposed Continental two barrel set, made in Belgium, imported by Browning Arms Company, Morgan UT. Rifle barrels in 30-06 and shotgun barrels in 20 gauge 3". Rifle barrels are 24" long, blued, with beaded blade front sight on a ramp, elevation adjustable folding rear sight, ejectors, checkered forend with schnabel tip and engraved latch. Shotgun barrels are 26.5" long with vented rib, blued, silver color front bead, ejectors. choked "Imp Mod" over "Cyl", checkered forend with schnabel tip and engraved latch. Action is coin finished, highly engraved, with straight stock, checkering at wrist, flat plastic buttplate, single trigger with gold color accent, manual safety/selector with selector markings inlaid in gold. Ejection is selective. Wood is extra fancy highly figured walnut. The receiver left side features an elk bust, receiver right features a quail in flight. both in gold inlay and with engraved forest elements that complement the animals, surrounded by floral scroll engraving that extends to receiver top, receiver bottom, and triggerguard. The engraver has signed "L LAMBERT" on both sides of receiver along bottom. All bores are excellent. Retains 99% finish, with excellent condition wood. Includes a locking wood case, fitted in the French style with red velvet liner, brass latches, full length piano hinge, brass corner protectors, leather handle with brass mounting hardware, lock keys. Condition is NRA Perfect -Like New ***C&R Firearm*** 4) Hi-Power semiautomatic pistol in 9x19mm, made in Belgium, imported by Browning Arms Company, Morgan UT. Features bright nickel finish, gold accent trigger, fixed sights, 4.75" barrel, frame mounted manual safety, checkered fancy walnut grips with Browning medallions. Included magazine is also bright nickel finish. Inscribed on right side of slide "BROWNING CENTENNIAL/1878-1978". Bore is excellent. Finish is 98% with a few tiny observed spots of flaking on slide. Includes locking wood case, fitted in the French style with red velvet liner, nickel plated latch, hinges, and plaque on lid inscribed "BROWNING CENTENNIAL/1878-1978". Condition is NRA Excellent - Like New ***C&R Firearm*** 5) Three knife set, all with stag scales, brass bolsters. Largest is a lock back folder with single clip point blade approx. 3-3/8" long, approx. 7-1/8" open length. Next largest knife has two drop point blades, non locking, hinged on opposite ends. Longer blade is approx. 2-9/16" long; shorter is approx. 1-9/16"; overall length with longest blade open is approx. 6-1/8". The third knife has 3 non-locking blades, a clip point approx. 2-9/16" long, sharing the hinge with a sheep's foot approx. 1-5/8" long, and a drop point approx. 1-1/2" hinged on the opposite end. Overall length with longest blade open is approx. 5-3/4". All three knives display "BROWNING CENTENNIAL/1878-1978" etched on longest blade for that knife. Includes locking walnut display case, fitted in French style with red velvet lining, brass latch, hinges, and plaque on lid inscribed "BROWNING CENTENNIAL/1878-1978".
