A nephew of the sisters Eva and Constance Gore-Booth, (the latter of whom became
the revolutionary Countess Markievicz), Colum was the son of Mordaunt Gore-Booth
and was at one time a trustee of the family estate at Lissadell, Co. Sligo. A
set of six pen and ink drawings by Colum were included in last year’s auction of
the contents from Lissadell at Mealy’s in Castlecomer (Lot 1229).
