Colt small frame deluxe Lightning Magazine slide action rifle, .22RF cal., 24” octagon barrel, British proofed, blue finish, checkered wood stocks with pistol grip, #9484. This gun is in overall very good to excellent condition showing approx. 90% original finish, bore should clean to good, crisp action, sharp markings, three position rear sight, Marble’s adjustable tang sight and Lyman-type front sight. Wood stocks are beautifully grained, showing fine checkering including the pistol grip cap, Colt hard rubber butt pad and silver blank plaque on underside of butt stock. Factory letter confirms barrel length, caliber, fancy pistol grip, checkered and indicates shipment to Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Mfg. Co. London Agency on June 9, 1890, lot of 20 guns shipped. A really scarce deluxe small frame Colt rifle in collector quality condition. Est.: $3,000-$5,000.
