Colt single action army revolver, New Frontier series, .45 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, engraved in flush-gold inlaid with gold plated straps and screwless ivory grips in Colt custom workshop case. Serial #03912NF.The pistol shows flush gold bands and borders on barrel. There is a portrait of an elk on top front of frame gold scroll borders, gold eagle by hammer screw with light background engraving showing pine trees and mountains.The right side of frame between the screws shows a roaring bobcat surrounded by engraved mountains and trees similar to left side. Each side of the top of the frame shows an arrow type of engraving. The straps arefloral engraved and gold plated. The pistol shows nicely made ivory grips. The condition is fine to excellent as refinished at time of engraving. We are not familiar with the hand of this engraver and it may have beensupplied through the Custom Gun Shop or possibly on custom order. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
