Colt single-action Army revolver original period scroll engraved in 44-40 caliber with period etched barrel, nickel plated, raised carved pearl grips showing gold bezels holding jeweled eyes. Factory info statesshipped soft to Hartley & Graham N.Y.,N.Y March 5th 1883 serial #92101. This fantastic black powder Colt shows 95% plus of its original nickel just drifting slightly on the muzzle and front of cylinders with afaint index line and very slight aging. The etched panel is original and nearly 100% intact. The engraving is nicely executed in classic Nimschke style western scrolls. The markings are sharp and the edges crisp, thefront sight its full height and fire blue shows on screws. The case hardened hammer shows 75% original finish going just slightly silver patina. The grips show a steer head on right side and are very thick and wellcarved with good fit. The action is super tight, the bore bright and even the firing pin on the case colored hammer shows most of its original blue. The best original engraved 44-40 etched barrel we have had the
