Colt’s Patent Model 1878 SxS exposed hammer shotgun, 12 gauge, damascus barrels reduced to 19”, checkered wood stocks, #21492 in overall very good condition showing a brown patina, crisp actions, fair + bores, good to very good woodstocks with added bone accent piece to front of forend; correct checkered hard rubber butt plate with Rampant Colt insignia; old soldered repair to back curve of trigger guard; good markings; bottom of trigger guard is stamped “W F & CO EXP427” with no supporting documentation from consignor or claim to authenticity; still a real Colt double barrel shotgun that has a great look!
