Colt prewar match target Woodsman, .22 semi-automatic pistol with desirable Roper-type medallion grips in period deluxe carrying case, serial #MT12043. The pistol remains in fine to excellent original condition with 98-99% original blue, some slight losses at edges and muzzle, a few minor scratches, but generally excellent overall with fine to excellent grips, some slight handling, minor shooting and use with bright and excellent bore. Correct match target marked Colt magazine. With shooting instructions and original target serial numbered to match. The pistol is contained within and original to the period green velvet lined case that is fitted in the French style and is similar to other luggage type cases pictured in The Book of Colt Firearms by Sutherland and Wilson. These cases were not factory made but were period and dealer supplied. The case remains in very good plus original condition. Est: $1,750 - $3,500
