Colt pre-war Woodsman .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol factory engraved, blue finish, 6 ½” barrel, shipped to Von Lengerke and Antoine, Chicago, Illinois, December 22, 1936 one gun in shipment. This Colt remainsin fine to excellent condition and is in its original cardboard box. The Colt is accompanied by an early 1971 dated factory letter signed by R. H. Wagner and addressed to noted engraved Colt collector David S.Woloch of Akron, Ohio.. This subject Colt shows fine factory scroll engraving of a different hand than normally found on Colt Woodsman’s (Not in the style of W.H. Gough). Approximately 97% to 99% original blueremains with just a minuscule amount of loss and beginning very slight aging. The grips are fine to near excellent. The markings are sharp and edges are razor crisp. Interior shows a little use with a very bright bore. A full blue correct period Woodsman clip is included. There is a very unusual blade sight in the standard factory front base. The pistol is contained within its original cardboard box with serial numbered matching
