Colt pocket Navy (conversion) to .38 rimfire caliber or New Model breech loading pocket pistol type 3. 4-1/2” plugged octagon barrel, rebated cylinder 1871/72 patent dates, loading gate and plate added to rear of frame, nickel plated, varnish rosewood grips, serial #1272. Refer Refer Colt New Police and Pocket Breech Loading Pistols by Breslin, Pirie, and Price page 63-71. In second serial number range or type two. Refer Flayderman 5B-127. The revolver remains in original good very good condition showing 60-70% original nickel finish lifting and peeling on front of cylinder, breech of barrel lug, and muzzle. The cylinder shows 75-85% cylinder scene. The areas where the nickel has lifted show some grey to brown patina and some just beginning pinprick pitting. The varnish wood grips are very good plus to near fine with 75-85% varnish, some losses and marks and wear at the edges. The markings are good, the barrel address slightly light but fully visible. The action tight, the bore very good plus and still bright. All matching serial numbers. Est: $1,250 - $2,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
