Colt patent powder flask, type found with Patterson rifles and dragoons, W.A.T. inspected, showing triangular rings mounted at bottom area of flask; spring loaded charger and Colt patent marked ball doorcover, and also showing small P inspection. (William Patch inspected Walkers, Patersons and early Dragoons. He was replaced by Bragg the 2nd Dragoon contract) Very good+ condition with 60-70% original lacquer, veryminor opening to one seam, some very small imperfections and at least very good+ overall with no restorations or replacement. These are very desirable when inspected by William A. Thornton and a number of these flasks were found in Texas, and were probably used both with the Patterson and early first model dragoons.
