Colt model 1902 Philippine model .45 Colt caliber double-action revolver, military marked and inspected showing old renickeled finish, hard-rubber grips, carved leather holster, and Indian Police Badge marked“Riverton, Wyo.” Serial #46426. The revolver shows 95-98% of an old renickeled finish with a ampersand on right side of triggerguard denoting return to factory. The markings are sharp, edges crisp. There is some pittingwhere the finish has lifted on the front of cylinder and muzzle. The action is good, bore very good. The holster is in very good condition and fits the revolver well, appears to have been with it a long while. The beltloop is marked “BE2”. The badge appears to be old and of the period with 50% darkening plate and proper pin. A letter from Riverton Museum to a well-known Wyoming collector describes the badge which neither the museumcurator nor we can authenticate. These badges are constantly and easily copied, but this rig is well known to collectors in the Lander and Riverton areas. Est: $1,750 - $3,500
