Colt model 1900 “sight safety”, .38 ACP caliber, semiautomatic pistol, US Navy marked and numbered “98” on the left side of the frame. Colt serial number “1098” on right side of the frame. The pistol shows approx. 90-95% original bright commercial quality blue finish. Smooth wood grips. “B” in triangle on left front of trigger guard bow, trident inspection mark on right side of trigger guard bow. Some losses of finish at high points and edges, some minor scratches from handling and storage which is typical on these naval Colts. The grips are very good plus with a few storage-type dings and mars. Small parts and screws show bright fiery blue. The hammer and safety show 80-90% case hardening which is fiery in some areas. The interior is excellent and the bore bright. A correct nickel-plated and 1884-dated magazine is included. A rare and desirable Navy-marked martial Colt auto.
