Colt model 1878 double action frontier revolver, .45 Colt caliber, 4-3/4" barrel, blued finish, hardrubber grips. Shipped to Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett, Chicago, IL, December 15, 1899. Two guns in shipment. All features confirmed by factoryletter, but grips not listed. The Colt shows 75-85% evenly thinning and toning blued finish, losses at the high points and gripping areas, some minor scratches, and just beginning normal age. The markings are sharps, the edges are crisp, thefront sight is its full height, the grips show just some slight edge wear, and there is a factory lanyard ring in butt. The action is crisp, the bore is very good plus and still bright. Est: $1,750 - $3,500
