Colt model 1878 double-action frontier revolver, .44-40 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, blue finish, hard-rubber grips, lanyard in butt, left side of barrel roll die marked “Colt Frontier Six Shooter”. Serial #50846. TheColt remains in very good plus to near fine original condition with 75-85% original bright blue drifting at the high points of the cylinder, edges of barrel, and muzzle from holstering and handling. The blue isstill very bright and inky, the edges are sharp, the markings are crisp, and the front sight shows its polish lines on each side. The grips are good to very good, the hammer and trigger show bright original blue, thefront sight is its full height. The action is tight, bore near excellent. Est: $2,500 - $5,000
