Colt model 1860 Army Richards Mason conversion, .44 centerfire, 8” barrel, shows smaller barrel lug similar to ’72 opentop. Short Colt’s patent cartridge-era address. 1871/72 patent dates. .44 caliber stamped on left rear of trigger guard. Traces of blue and case hardened finish. Serial #6047. One of approx. 2,100 produced in the cartridge era. Refer Flayderman 5B-020. The revolver remains on good to very good original condition showing 10-20% original blue on barrel and cylinder, mostly in protected areas and drifting to a grayish brown patina, some heavier pitting, blood type, at rear area top of barrel, slightly larger than a thumb print and a couple other areas thumbprint size on left side of barrel. The front sight has been slimmed slightly, the barrel address is good. The cylinder shows 60-70% original scene with light engagement dates at edge. The frame shows 30-50% finish darkening to a grayish brown patina with feint colors. The trigger guard show 80-90% original silver plate. The backstrap shows 10-20% dulling original blue. The varnish wood grips are good to very good with 50-70% varnish, some wear at the edge, small scratches, minor imperfections, small losses at
