Colt model 1860 Army .44 caliber percussion revolver fully and finely factory style scroll engraved with period raised carved grips showing Mexican snake and eagle, serial #149775E. The revolver shows a deep brownpatina finish and is completely uncleaned or polished in any way. The metal surfaces and engraving show some wear at the edges and muzzle. Some light to moderate pitting and erosion, and just faint traces of cylinderscene. There are some dings and mars on the cylinder. The frame engraving is very crisp, the cylinder number is not quite visible but matches the color of the pistol well and we are sure it is the original. The ivory gripsare yellowed considerably and undersized from carry and use with a deep patina finish, and the top of the carving is worn from holster wear, carried on the right side. The grips are good and show some small losses and areundersized from age. The action is good, the bore is surprisingly good. A very deluxe and original engraved 60 Army with great old aged grips and an unusual feature in that the snake and eagle are surrounded by an
