Colt model 1851 Navy revolver, .36 caliber percussion, 7-1/2” barrel, grey patina finish, varnish wood grips, serial #141126. The revolver shows a light grey to brown patina finish with some faint traces of blue and case hardening mixed in. Generally good metal surfaces, some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting, and some minor areas of light cleaning very long ago. There are some minor scratches and marks. The cylinder shows 50-60% cylinder scene and there are some small nicks and mars and small areas on the cylinder, none of which are too serious. The markings are good, the edges fairly sharp, the grips are good to very good with 30-50% varnish, some wear at the edges, normal use, slight imperfections, and wear at the edges. All matching visible serial numbers. Action tight. Bore very good. There are some nicks on the instrap of trigger guard. This 4th model navy shows a capping groove and is in a serial number range that occasionally letters. Est: $1,400 - $2,800
