Colt model 1849 pocket model .31 caliber percussion, 6” barrel, two-line New York address, 5-shot cylinder, serial #141585. The revolver remains in good to very good condition showing 15-30% original blue andcase hardening, evenly drifting to patina with some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The cylinder shows 75%+ well defined cylinder scene. The backstrap and triggerguard shows 80-90%original darkened cylinder. The varnish wood grips are very good plus with 75-85% varnish, some minor nicks and scratches, small loss at the right toe, a few bruises, normal aging. All matching visible serial numbers,crisp edges, good action, good interior. There is some bright blue in protected areas. From the John Goodlad collection. Est: $700 - $1,400
