This is a vintage set of Colt Woodsman pistols, American made vintage single-action semi-automatic rimfire pistols. The 2nd Generation will be described first, and the 3rd Generation after. These pistols include a wooden display box with purple velvet and a information plaque, and an extra 2nd series magazine (two 2nd series magazines total).
1) #Colt Woodsman .22 LR #81514-S. '2nd Series Sport Model,' pistol chambered for .22 Long Rifle (high-velocity), manufactured circa 1950 in Hartford, CT. Pistol features a gloss blued finish, a 4-1/2" tapered barrel, pinned serrated ramped blade front sight, dovetailed micrometer adjustable square notch rear sight, serrated curved trigger, serrated push-button magazine release, serrated frame mounted manual safety, serrated slide stop, smooth grip straps, lanyard loop on grip heel, and two-piece partially checkered walnut grips with right-hand thumb rest on the left panel. The original blued finish retained is approximately 95% with very light scattered scratches, light scattered edge wear, and edge wear at the muzzle. Metal displays no rust or deformation. The bore is bright with strong rifling and the grips are excellent with very minor handling blemishes. The action is smooth and crisp.
Condition is NRA Very Good.
2) Colt Woodsman .22 LR #081102S
'3rd Series Sport Model,' an American made vintage single-action semi-automatic rimfire pistol chambered for .22 Long Rifle, manufactured circa 1966-1969 in Hartford, CT. Pistol features a gloss blued finish, a 4-1/2" tapered barrel, serrated ramp and pinned blade front sight, dovetailed micrometer adjustable square notched rear sight, smooth curved trigger, latch style heel magazine release, serrated frame mounted manual safety, smooth slide stop, smooth grip straps, and two-piece partially checkered walnut grips with right-hand thumb rest on the left panel. The original blued finish retained is approximately 98% with only superficial scratches. Metal displays no rust or deformation. The bore is bright with strong rifling and the grips are excellent with a few very minor handling blemishes. The action is smooth and crisp. This is a more desired version because of the 4-1/2" barrel length.
Condition is NRA Excellent.
