Colt Viper .38 Special cal., lightweight DA revolver with 4" barrel, factory gold inlaid, engraved and inscribed "George A. Strichman, Chairman of the Board, Colt Industries" with special assigned serial numbers "GAS-0" and"V-1". The pistol shows a 4" high polish blue finish barrel and cylinder, with brushed finished natural metal colored frame, for a 2-tone effect. The designation "Viper" is flush gold inlaid on left, and the pistol isbeautifully engraved in scroll motifs. The pistol retains standard checkered wood grips. Condition is fine to near excellent and shows just some slight storage and dried oil. George A. Strichman was an active guncollector who maintained a personal and factory collection while Chairman of the Board for Colt. The Autry Museum obtained the majority of the collection housed in the penthouse offices in New York City and soldoff a number of arms, which were excess to their needs for display. This Viper is one of that number and we sold it sometime in the 1990s. Many of these Strichman guns will receive a interesting and in-depth letter

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
