Colt U.S. martially-marked and D.F.C. inspected SAA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #121095 (all matching visible numbers except trigger guard that is #18443). Thisgun is in overall very good to fine condition showing approx. 70% arsenal blue finish on the barrel assembly, the majority of blue finish remaining in the cylinder flutes and approx. 60% arsenal case colors on the frameand hammer; fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings, very good wood grips that are marked “1 B 50 N Y” on the right grip. This gun is accompanied by a factory letter indicating delivery to the GovernmentInspector at the Colt plant on March 21, 1887 and remarks indicating also that the revolver was returned to the factory for refurbishing and reshipped to the Inspector at the plant on October 18, 1895. Alsoincluded is a letter from noted Colt collector John Kopec dated Feb. 17, 1994, stating he examined the Colt and found it to be one of 800 revolvers issued to the State of New York for the Militia on October 18,
