Colt U.S. Single Action Army Calvary Model revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #114766. This gun is in overall fine condition showing approx. 97% original blue on the barrel with almost all thefeathering on both sides of the front sight and “P” proof; approx. 92% original blue on the cylinder which is also “P” proofed; approx. 95% original finish on the ejector housing with the majority of wear at the front end and approx. 85%original finish on the straps which show a “G” under each serial number. Additionally, there is approx. 80% original case color on the frame and hammer; serial numbers are matching on the frame, barrel, cylinder, backstrap and trigger guard; the frame, barrel and bottom of left grip are stamped “D.F.C.” (Inspector David F. Clark); the grips are also clearly cartouched “DFC” and “FH” (Inspector Frank Heath); the bore is excellent, the action crisp, the markings sharp; the gripsare excellent with two fine cartouches and the date “1885” over the “FH” cartouche, some wear at the bottom edges and some nicks and mars on the bottoms of the grips with minor scratches on both sides that are from storage but not objectionable.
